DNPA Code of Ethics - Alpha Trends

Purpose:

The team at Alpha Trends upholds the highest ethical standards in all company operations. Each team member is expected to conduct business with integrity, abiding by all applicable laws and avoiding any actions motivated by personal gain.

The following is a summary of our policies concerning (1) gifts, favors, entertainment, and payments, (2) potential conflicts of interest, and (3) other ethical standards:

General Policy Application

Gifts, Favors, and Payments by the Company: Alpha Trends may provide gifts, favors, and payments if they meet these conditions:

  1. They align with standard business practices.
  2. They are modest and cannot be seen as a bribe or payoff.
  3. They comply with all applicable laws and accepted ethical standards.
  4. They would not embarrass the company if publicly disclosed.

Payments, commissions, or other compensations to associates of clients (or their family members or associates) that aren’t required by a written contract are against company policy.

Gifts, Favors, Entertainment, and Payments Received by Associates:

Team members should not seek or accept gifts, favors, entertainment, or payments with no legitimate business purpose from anyone doing or seeking business with Alpha Trends. Specific guidelines include:

  • Acceptable: Common courtesies like lunch/dinner with vendors, small promotional items (pens, calendars), tickets to events if the vendor accompanies the associate.
  • Not Acceptable: Gifts of cash or marketable securities, personal loans beyond conventional loans at market rates, or the use of vendor facilities without presence and prior approval.

Management should not accept significant gifts from those they supervise.

Conflicts of Interest: Team members should avoid any situation that may conflict with the interests of Alpha Trends. Employees should disclose in writing any potential conflicts, such as:

  • Ownership or significant interest in businesses that compete or do business with Alpha Trends.
  • Serving in positions with outside enterprises that compete or do business with Alpha Trends.
  • Acting on behalf of a third party in transactions involving Alpha Trends.
  • Personal relationships that may influence impartial decision-making.

Confidential Information: Unauthorized access or disclosure of confidential company information is strictly prohibited. Any misuse or mishandling of such information, especially personnel data, will lead to disciplinary action.

Compliance: Violations of this policy may result in administrative actions or termination. Any concerns or knowledge of violations should be promptly reported to the appropriate management level.

Social Media Guidelines

Introduction:

  • Use good judgment; remember that social media activity is public and can be widely shared.
  • Anything you post may be recorded forever and viewed by a global audience.

Company Policies on Social Media:

  • Know and respect company policies and avoid inappropriate content, as outlined in our Employee Handbook.
  • Exercise caution with your words and actions online, as you represent both yourself and Alpha Trends.

Posting Responsibility:

  • Posts should reflect your viewpoint, not the company’s. Clearly state that opinions shared are your own if referencing the company.
  • Avoid malicious, obscene, or threatening content, as well as anything that could create a hostile work environment.

Accuracy and Honesty:

  • Be accurate and correct mistakes quickly. Respect copyright, trademark, and privacy laws, and keep confidential information private.

Plagiarism

Alpha Trends maintains a strict policy against plagiarism, upholding originality and integrity in all our content.

Fairness

Reporters must present balanced stories by allowing subjects to respond to any negative claims, ensuring both sides of the story are represented fully and fairly.
